The Carbon Trust is an independent company funded by the UK government, its role is to help the UK move to a low carbon economy by helping businesses and the public sector reduce carbon emissions now and capture the commercial opportunities of low carbon technologies. In today’s economic climate, it may be difficult to get the credit you need to upgrade to more energy efficient equipment. The Carbon Trust loans could be the solution. They not only offer interest free credit to make your business more efficient, they also help lower your energy bills and cut carbon emissions.
The Loan:
Loans are interest free, provided on an unsecured basis and you can borrow a sum flexible to your business needs of between £3,000 to £400,000.
Repayments for the loan are offered on a 12 – 48 month basis.
Loans are offered on the basis of on-site CO2 savings, and any equipment that saves enough energy will be considered.
Types of projects that can be funded include HiTec Air Conditionings Free Cooling System, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, compressors and more.
Eligibility Criteria:
Small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are eligible.
SMEs are defined as companies with fewer than 250 full time employees and with less than £50 million in turnover (approximately £43 million) or less than £43 million in assets. (approximately £37 million)
In addition, larger businesses are still eligible for a loan. This will typically include businesses with an annual electricity spend of less than £500,000
Application Procedure:
As your preferred equipment supplier, we will be able to commence the application process on behalf of your company.
HiTec Air Conditioning Services Ltd will also provide your company with detailed support in the calculation of the energy saving process.
The Carbon Trust will then forward all information to their consultant who will review the application in detail. Each application is individually assessed based on its energy savings.
Once The Carbon Trust has made a conditional loan offer, a technical consultant will telephone you to verify the equipment details and then conduct an energy saving assessment. You should then receive an unconditional offer within 10 working days.
